Karen Horn

In February of 2020 Karen took over as owner of Hair du Jour from Bobbie Lever. Karen has been in the hair industry for 18+ years and is still very passionate about her career.

She is a strong believer in education and staying updated on the ever changing industry and hairstyles. Karen attends many local classes as well as a 2 day haircutting class at Redken 5th Avenue in New York City, a 3 day hair color symposium in Las Vegas, and many in salon classes.

Karen loves helping her clients find a new style but also enjoys helping them maintain the “perfect” style when they find it. Not only does she help her clients find a style that they will enjoy she also enjoys educating them on how to maintain that style when they leave the salon. Karen loves perfecting that beautiful hairstyle that her client has been looking for and she also does everything with healthy hair in mind. Karen believes that the integrity of your hair is just as important as those beautiful colors or cuts she is striving to achieve for you. ” Healthy hair is the most beautiful hair.”

Beth Bradley

Beth has been a hairstylist for 42 years and still loves it. She’s been at Hair du Jour for 22 of those years. Cutting and coloring are denitely the most fun for her. She’s had a ton of training with Redken Symposiums and with Behind the Chair color shows to keep in touch with the lasted trends.

Natalie Dolbee

Natalie has been a Hairstylist for 17 years! – “I absolutely love what I do. I started out in Daniel Island then made my way to James Island and have fallen in love with the Island and salon. So much so that I have been here for 14 Years!! I love sitting down and really talking to my clients to make sure we are on the same page before I begin. I love all aspects of my job but, in particular, I specialize in color corrections, Blondes and Reds. I think education is very important with keeping up with the latest trends.”

Kelly Brooker

Kelly has been a hairstylist since 2009. She worked as our receptionist all through high school before getting started in her career with us!

She loves furthering her education by attending hair shows and classes. Some of her most recent were in NC, Atlanta, and Denver! She is also Surface curly hair certified. She loves doing all types of hair but specializes in color, blondes, curly hair, and men’s cuts.

Taylor Dunlap

Level 3 Stylist

Born and raised in Charleston, Taylor has always had a passion for creativity. With a keen fashion sense and an eye for color, she loves versatility and isn’t afraid to work hard to achieve what is best for her client. Taylor attended VSKI Cosmetology, has her Associates in Arts, and has taken creative courses since to keep up with the latest trends. She specializes in balayage and highlighting. Her personal career goals are to focus on education and growth for her clients and new ones to come.

Susan Duke

Level 4 Stylist

Susan has been a licensed stylist for 22 years. She has attended educational hair shows such as the IBS in New York as well as classes throughout New Jersey, Delaware, and Philadelphia.

Susan is certified in Keratin Complex and specializes in High lighting, color and Women’s Haircuts especially curly textured hair, short hair and razor cutting.

Savannah Denman

Level 2 Stylist

Savannah grew up here in the Charleston area and attended cosmetology school at Kenneth Shuler. She loves working with color, creating beautiful styles for her clients.

Angel LaBoard

Level 2 Stylist

South Carolina native, Angel is Hair Du Jour’s newest stylist but was a part of our team pre-covid. When she’s not at work she is with her loving husband, four beautiful kids and sweet dog.

Angel has always loved doing hair and the ability to enhance each of her client’s natural beauty. She graduated from “Paul Mitchell the School Charleston” in June, 2022 and was a part of the Phase 2 team which was reserved for the more advance students who wanted to be challenged to their highest level of performance. She is passionate about her work and can’t wait to meet you!

Angel specializes in blonding services, vivids, keratin, extensions, cutting, curly hair, and bridal hair and makeup.

Mikayla Amico

Level 1 Stylist

Born and raised in New Jersey, Mikayla moved to South Carolina in 2018 to start college at the University of South Carolina. Life took a different turn for her and she decided to change career paths and Start Cosmetology school at Trident Tech. Her favorite thing to do is vivid color, blondes, and curly cuts! She keeps up with all the latest trends, has great knowledge on surface products from multiple education classes, and likes to keep her clients educated on the products as well. Mikayla is also a certified Yoga Teacher, which gives her passion to truly understand and connect with each of her clients to understand their vision for how they want to look.
